Origins of LLSA
Three friends, three over-sized woollen jumpers and one pub crawl.
The origins of this loosely-defined Leicester-based social group can be traced back to a festive pub crawl in 2015. Tom, Alex and Richard were three school friends who had slowly drifted apart in the years since leaving Leicester. Their mothers, however, had remained in touch through a local knitting group.
That year, upon their return from their respective universities, each lad was given a thick knitted jumper from their crafty Mums made from the finest Leicester Longwool Sheep wool and were promptly marched to a pub where they were greeted be familiar faces that they had not seen for quite some time.
Since then both the Mothers and the sons have made a point of meeting up throughout the year and they share their experiences on this blog right here.
